We met Robert Slaats while we were in the process of selecting an estate agent to sell our Merida house in the Centro. Even though we eventually listed exclusively with another agent, we had a very good impression of Robert. He showed a good and professional attitude, he looked knowledgeable of Merida’s house market and was helpful in asking questions that we had as sellers.

After owning a home in Merida for 15 years, my wife and I decided it was time to sell. We were torn between choosing a local agent to list it for, but decided on Mexico International. Upon looking through the photos and short bios of its many agents we went with Joel DeLeon and we are so glad we did. Joel is bilingual speaking both his native Spanish and English. Joel is the kindness person you'd ever want to represent you in an important, International sale. He pictured the house with a myriad of photos and a wonderful description. As we live in the US he kept in touch with us throughout the entire process by phone or through WhatsApp. When a deal was met we flew down to a seamless process where Joel was at the helm. Joel went above and beyond by driving us where we needed to go after the closing and did it with a smile. My wife and I always felt like we were in good, honest hands with Joel. He watched closely at the closing to make sure everything was correct and put our minds at ease. Joel is more than a real estate agent, he is a thoughtful friend who will look out for your best interests throughout the entire process. Although the sale was bitter sweet for us, Joel made sure we were happy in the end.

I feel we were SO lucky in choosing to work with team Ivan and Eric in finding our home. We came from Canada and at that point, we didn't know much Spanish or much about anything . My partner communicated with Eric on what's app and we met Ivan at all the locations. Ivan was lots of fun and easy going and helpful. Eric responds to What's app so fast I feel like he has some sort of mystical powers to bend time. We couldn't have had a better experience. They really made the experience enjoyable and relaxing. Even the folks that they recommended, all worked out well. We will use them again someday and will tell everyone.

I am a canadian who just recently purchased a house in Cholul. My partner and I worked with the dynamic duo of Eric and Ivan. They were both amazing and answered the many many questions we had. I would so highly recommend them. Eric gave us many suggestions on what and who we needed for workers, such as electricians and plumbers. He even gave us suggestions on where to buy appliances. Lol. Ivan was the traveling road show to all our viewings. They are both so knowledgeable and professional in all their dealings. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. If we ever buy or sell in Merida again, we will certainly be going back to mexican international again. Thank you, guys.

Mexico International Real Estate: A venerable institution in Merida, a team that plays beautifully together, with the owner rolling up his sleeves when required, financially savvy, and well-versed in the art of navigating these transactions.Now, for the juicy details... Robert guided me through the labyrinth of purchasing a property in a quaint village just outside Merida. We encountered our fair share of quirky challenges—a deal structure that could only be described as nuanced since the property was held by a corporation, a seller's agent abroad on holiday, and Robert himself teetering on the edge of nuptial bliss. I met Robert Slats from a recommendation from my previous agent (Keith Heitke) a year ago. At that time, I called Robert and mentioned I was planning to sell my house. He came to see the property the following day and answered all my questions. Decided not to sell at that time, called him a year later and again he came to my place the following day, looked at the house and answered all my questions. The house was put on sale and Robert was very patient, he replied to my calls, e-mails and WhatApps the same day. Some times, he needed to call the other agent, the layer or the notario and he always respond to me within one day with an answer. Robert Slats made the selling process of my property very smooth and relatively not stressful. If you want and efficient, knowledgeable and patient real state agent in Yucatan call Robert Slats. I bought my Condo, site unseen, 3 years ago when I was still in Canada. Robert was the listing agent. His professionalism, going the extra mile, made this international purchase a breeze . From the beginning, I felt at ease with Robert. The whole process, from a live video to closing, could not have been any easier.
